What we offer

The Auckland Seafarers Centre is across the road from the wharves and a short 5 minute walk from the Ports of Auckland TINLEY STREET GATE where the Security van will drop seafarers. This makes the Centre very popular and accessible to the seafarers who come into the port of Auckland. The road that separates the port and the city is called Quay (pronounced Key) Street. The Seafarers Mission is on the first floor of number 114 and you will find us opposite the Captain Cook and Marsden Wharves.

Transport may be available (eg from Chelsea Sugar Wharf). Please phone +64 (0)21 646 640 (John) or +64 (0)272 387 087 (Philip)

  • Opening Hours:
    0930 - 2200 Monday to Friday & 1830-2200 on Saturdays and Sundays.
These hours of opening may be extended when a cruise ship is in the port.

  • The Chapel
In the centre of our Club is the Mariners Memorial Chapel of St Peter. It is always available to you just to sit in, think about loved ones and maybe say a prayer or two.

You are invited to join the Church and Community of St James (Presbyterian) whose Sunday services are held in the chapel at 10am.
